2022 Labor Day Safari

Saturday, September 3 - Monday, September 5, 2022

If you like to 4-wheel in Moab, a little cooler weather and smaller crowds, then this event offers the things you enjoy. The "Stay Together, Play Together" Labor Day Safari has a little bit of everything and some things the Easter Jeep Safari doesn’t offer because of its size. Trails are limited to 25 vehicles, making them smaller and the entire event is limited to 150 vehicles.

The event is based at the Moab Rim Campark located at 1900 South Highway 191. This full service campground is at the top of the hill as you leave Moab to the South, and is just a short trip to downtown Moab. It has all of the amenities, including water, showers, picnic tables, trees, grass and no mosquitoes. The entire campground has been reserved for the event, but limited RV and tent spaces are available. But, if you aren't a camping type person you can enjoy the great selection of motels that Moab offers.

Registration for the event will open on-line on June 7, 2022 at 10:00am MDT (Daylight savings time is used in Utah). Be sure to let us know, a) how many kids and adults in your party and b) what type of camp space you will need - both are on the Checkout page on the website when registering (if camp spaces are FULL, they will not appear on the checkout page).

Your $150 per vehicle fee includes:

  • Daily trail runs led by fun and knowledgeable Red Rock 4-Wheelers.
  • A hot breakfast served on Saturday & Sunday mornings by the Moab Masons, starting at 7:00AM. A delicious dinner will be served Saturday evening at 5:00PM. (Bring your chairs and own beverages.)
  • A drawing after dinner on Saturday night at the camp park.
  • An Ice Cream Social Sunday night at 6:00pm sponsored by iDeal Off-Road and Hard Rock 4X4.
  • You'll enjoy sharing stories with other jeepers, the family friendly atmosphere, and more than likely make some great new friends.

Accommodations at Moab Rim Campark:

  • 50% off a reserved RV or tent site at Moab Rim Camp Park will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. You are responsible for the remainder of your campsite cost, which will be added to checkout on your registration. (Amounts vary according to the type of site you choose.)  You will be able to select your site after you have registered for the event.
  • The 50% discount does not include any of the cabins. Please contact Moab Rim Campark directly regarding cabin availability. You must be registered for the event to rent a cabin.
  • There are a limited number of sites available and once they are full, you must arrange your own accommodations at one of the other fine camping parks in the area.
  • Accommodations will be available to you starting Friday afternoon, September 3rd to Monday, September 6th at 11:00AM. Note: you will need to contact the campground at 1-888-599-MOAB (6622) for any days you plan to stay prior to Friday checkin and after Sunday night.

Once in Moab:

  • Check in at the campground or your motel.
  • Pick up your registration packet, meal tickets, drawing tickets, etc. at Registration at the Moab Rim CampPark during these times:
    • Friday 3:00 – 7:30PM
    • Saturday 7:30AM – trail departure at 9:00AM & 3:00 – 5:00PM
    • Sunday 7:30AM – trail departure at 9:00AM.

The following trails are scheduled to be run based on registrations and are subject to change. The schedule has been developed with family fun, scenery and short trail days in mind. Each day has a moderate, medium and challenging trail, but not necessarily vehicle damaging trail schedules.

The "First Timers", two day package offers the same Officials on both Saturday & Sunday and you'll be running with the same participants both days. This is a very popular package for 4-wheelers new to Moab. (Please note, you can still register for another trail on Monday, if you register for the "First Timers" package, at no additional cost, your $150 event fee covers all 3 days)
